JUNE IPARIS FANCAST
*Disclaimer: This is a FANCAST, not a FACECLAIM. I am casting actresses based on their look, skills, talent and rating them based on how realistic it is for them to be cast.
1. ADELAIDE KANE (top left)
WHY: Not mixed race but June’s ethnicity is such a mishmash that I could see Adelaide Kane filling the Hollywood standard of “whitewashing”. However, she is gorgeous, intelligent looking and has an athletic background.
RATING (Very likely): If she wanted, Adelaide Kane would probably land an audition and become a serious contender. She is quickly rising to the top with an impressive résumé both in film and television. She plays a beautiful, young, intelligent and strong lead in “Reign” which may be an asset if she chooses to break into film. She is clearly a fan favourite for the role and has an existing fan following who would love to see her in a lead role in film.
2. AURORA PERRINEAU (top right)
WHY: Mixed race and a newcomer. Her résumé is small but based on the few projects, she has experience in both film and television.
RATING (Not likely): Aurora Perrineau will probably land an audition for June but based on her lack of experience, she may not be cast. Her recent involvement in “Jem and the Holograms” is a big push into the spotlight where she will gain enough attention to get her an audition for a lead role like June. However, her roles have always been supporting so producers may not want to take a risk on a supporting actress with little lead experience.
3. EMILY RUDD (bottom left)
WHY: Emily Rudd may not be a mixed race but she has a face that can be made up to look it. She’s famous online for being beautiful but many people don’t know that she is an actress as well. She has starred in many theatre productions. One article even reported that she learned an entire part in a musical in 24 hrs, which takes a tremendous amount of skill and shows that she is hard working and talented, traits needed to portray June.
RATING (Not likely): Although Emily Rudd is a talented actress, she does not have enough experience in film. She has starred in music videos and commercials but her name has not been put out in Hollywood to be one to watch. She is probably talented enough to audition if they cast a wide net. My guess is that since her look is so versatile, they may cast her as June’s double.
4. INDIA EISLEY (bottom right)
WHY: Mixed race and quite young, India Eisley has built up an impressive résumé both in film and television. She has background in doing action films such as “Underworld” and more recently, “Kite”.
RATING (Likely): India Eisley is not the obvious choice for June, which is an advantage for her if she wants the role. She is technically still “unknown” but casting directors have their eye on her. If Jennifer Lawrence’s role in “Winter’s Bone” helped to earn her Katniss, India Eisley’s role in “Kite” may help her win June. She plays a young teenage assassin on a revenge mission to find the people who killed her family. If the reviews about her performance are positive, she may be the unknown the casting directors are waiting for. I wouldn’t count her out.
And that’s all for June! These are my opinions and ideas, not purely based on how they look. What do you think? Want me to weigh in on your June fancast? Reblog or send me a message!

I was very careful how I built the movie. One of the other things I decided was that I wanted a female lead who has the equal force as the male leads. She’s not going to be a sex kitten, she’s not going to come out in cutoff shorts and a tank top, and it’s going to be a real earnestly drawn character. Guillermo del Toro
